Will all Players and Parents please note: We now have 16 players signed on, and as we can only take 14 players to a game, there could be 2 players who would not be selected to play in any given week.
Obviously there are weeks when somebody cannot play due to other commitments and times when players are ill, therefore when we have a full squad available, selection will be made on the commitment of the player to Training sessions and the effort shown on the pitch.
Do not think that any player is too good to be dropped or substituted. There are some players who give 100% effort in games, and others who are there to play for themselves, not giving their all for the team. If you want this team to be successful then I ask you all to get behind me, let me make the decisions and listen to what the coaching staff at Purbeck Panthers are trying to teach you.

Also we have 2 training sessions per week. Saturday morning (Wool) and Thursday evening (Wareham). Thursday nights at Wareham Astro Pitch are being attended by almost all of the team, but the majority of those attending just want to play a game, not train...This will stop, training sessions are for training not playing kick about. If the training is completed successfully within the time frame, then and only then will we play a game.
Saturday training at Wool is only attended by the same 5 or 6 players each week (Last Saturday only 4). This is not good enough. I and others give up their time free of charge (for me on average 8 hours per week) to give the youth of the local area a chance to play football and improve their skills, so If players cannot be bothered to attend training sessions, then I cannot be bothered to waste my time being there. I know that there are a couple of players who are unable to attend Saturday training, but it still leaves some 14 players who could at least make the effort to attend. Graham Loveless - Manager

All please note: Thursday Night Astro Training at Wareham has now changed from 6.30 start to 7.30 start.
So Colts Under 14 training is from 7.30 to 8.30pm as from 20th September 2007.
