FOOTBALL FOR ALL
Purbeck Panthers FC was formed in May 2003 and is based in the Purbeck District. Our aim is to cater for all local youths, in and around Wareham, Wool and outlying villages.
Purbeck Panthers FC is a Club for anyone & everyone regardless of age, race, gender, ability and even where you live.
During the short time the club has been founded, the response in the area has been immense, attracting a range of many different age groups to join. The club has grown considerably from the start establishing new teams every year and has now established 19 teams for the forthcoming season 2006/7. Last season we were proud to be the first Club in Dorset to establish an Ability Counts Team. This section of our Club can offer training and football matches to players who have a disabilty and are over the age of 16.
Purbeck Panthers FC in August 2005 became an FA Charter Standard Community Club. This is the Club’s second Charter Standard award and has been awarded in only the club’s second year since being founded in May 2003. The Charter Standard Community Club Award is seen as the pinnacle of the Charter Standard programme run by the FA.
The Charter Standard Scheme is a best practice guide from the FA that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people. This award is a benchmark for quality, and is given to clubs, which will improve the playing experience for everyone.
Purbeck Panthers welcomes all new members and the club promotes not only football but other club activities such as fun days, mini tournaments, social events and other 'fun' fund raising events for all to enjoy and get involved with!. Training sessions are held regularly by qualified FA coaches in a safe and friendly environment for the children.
MINI LEAGUE SECTION
Purbeck Panthers FC offers football opportunities for both boys & girls ranging from school years Reception to 5 (age 5 to 10). The Club has a range of mini soccer teams from U7's to U11's. We are looking to build an under 8's team and an under 10's team this season. Therefore we are seeking boys & girls in school years 3 & 5 to join the Club.
We also hope that a parent from each age group, would come forward as a volunteer to run these future teams.
With the help of Kevin Dixon, FA Level 1 Football Coach, Purbeck Panthers FC are seeking more U6 children to attend training sessions during 2007/8. This is a view to learn not only football skills, but meet new friends and have some fun.
